This is mostly a reference for myself. I’m trying to hook up the Dagu Rover 5 robo chassis to it’s motor controller board. Most of the hookups made sense to me (neg/ground for each of f4 motors, etc.) but the encoder pinout was a bit confusing and I wasn’t sure whether the pins from the encoder were the input or the output.
Answer: they’re the output from the encoder. No idea yet what to do with the encoder input pins on the driver board. Here’s a photo of the chassis with all 4 encoders connected to the board (click for full size):
